FreeAngleFinder provides a browser-based suite of digital inclination measurement tools, including a 2D surface bullseye level, a 1D wall/pipe inclinometer, a digital protractor, angle unit converters (degrees, slope %, roof pitch, radians), tare/zero differential calibration, and Web Audio tone feedback.
3. Measurement Accuracy & Hardware Disclaimer

Not for Structural Safety Certification: FreeAngleFinder utilizes your smartphone's built-in consumer MEMS accelerometer and gyroscope sensors via standard web APIs. While our software mathematically calculates angles to 0.1° resolution and employs low-pass filtering, the absolute physical accuracy of any reading depends on external hardware variables.
These variables include: individual device factory sensor calibration, sensor thermal drift, physical phone casing irregularities, protruding camera lenses, and protective phone cases.
FreeAngleFinder is designed for general carpentry, leveling pictures, furniture assembly, slope estimation, and DIY tasks. It is NOT certified for mission-critical structural engineering, legal land surveying, commercial civil construction load-bearing calculations, aviation, or life-safety applications where certified, traceable industrial calibration is legally required.
4. Permitted and Prohibited Use
You agree to use FreeAngleFinder solely for lawful purposes. You are permitted to:
- Use the tool for personal, educational, DIY, trade, carpentry, and commercial measurement tasks.
- Link directly to the website from blogs, tutorials, and informational resources.
